The Android app

Calls, recordings and your day on the counsellor's work phone.

The Compass Android app runs on the work phones your team already has. It is installed from Compass itself, so there's no app store account to manage.

Install

  1. On the phone, sign in to Compass in the browser and open Settings → Mobile app (or go to /app on your Compass address).
  2. Download and install the app. Android may ask you to allow installs from your browser once.
  3. Open the app and sign in with your email code or Google.
  4. Allow access to calls, and to recordings if your institute records calls.

Updates are offered inside the app.

What it does

  • Syncs calls to and from leads onto the right record, with duration and direction.
  • Uploads recordings privately, when the phone records calls, so they can be summarised.
  • Today, people and follow-ups on the go, including quick logging after a call.
  • Works offline: changes made without a signal are queued and sent when the phone is back online, exactly once.

Good to know

  • Calls with numbers that aren't in Compass are listed as unknown, so a new enquiry is never lost.
  • Recordings depend on the phone's dialer. Google's own Phone app keeps no recordings other apps can read; on those phones calls are still logged, without audio. The app's phone check tells you which case you're in.
  • Hold to talk records a quick voice memo after a call, saved on the person's record.
